Nestled on five acres in Door County WI, this residence was designed with the intention of balancing work and personal spaces, focused on quiet architecture, natural materials, strong contrast, and spaces that feel connected to their surroundings rather than competing with them.
Using Nakamoto Forestry cladding and Marvin Essential windows, the home is divided into public and personal spaces: the shou sugi ban (black) building housing the family's living, kitchen and offices and the silver sugi building serving as host to 3 bedrooms + two bathrooms.
